The Wildfires

The Wildfires didn’t ease into it, they struck like lightning. Four young musicians from Alkmaar The Netherlands, raised on a diet of vinyl, amplifiers, and guitars turned up way too loud, found each other and cranked everything to the limit from day one. What started in small bars quickly grew into shows at venues like P3 Purmerend, Victorie Alkmaar, and Corneel Lelystad, as well as festivals including Dijkpop, Zomerpop, and Mixstream. Wherever they go, they leave behind a trail of sweat-soaked rooms and smoking amps. Their sound breathes the spirit of the 70s and 90s, yet lives fully in the present: gritty riffs, swinging rhythms, and melodies that linger like smoke in your clothes. Think classic rock with a rough edge, bluesy, funky, and always on the verge of falling apart. In 2024, they released their debut EP Sekhmet’s Return, a calling card that leaves you wanting more. Meanwhile, they keep building toward new material, while doing what they do best on stage: giving it everything, every single night.
